<p>Abstract A communication platform and method involving various modules and client devices of users, comprises providing a conversation stream for conversations to take place within. A conversation participant may join, leave, and/or re-join the conversation stream at any time. Camera video streams conveying each participant's face is contributed to the conversation stream in-conjunction with other content including text messages, web video streams (e.g. YouTubeTM videos), photos, drawings, etc. Participants may contribute text messages to the conversation stream, while simultaneously conveying their own and perceiving others' facial expressions, via the camera video streams, before, during, and after each text message is contributed. Additionally, participants may experience shared content together while conveying and perceiving facial expressions of one another. Conversations and experiences are stored, and through a transitional means, late participants can still join, rapidly catch up on what was stored, and then transition into the conversation or experience that's still taking place. 5-5 C) ~</p> |
