<p>Appara tus for measuring the tendency for a borehole formed by rotary drilling to deviate, comprising at least one pair of strain gauges at the lower end of the drilling pipe string, arranged along the generators of the pipe column and connected to a measuring bridge providing a measuring signal representing the difference in the bending forces exerted on the respective strain gauges and expressing the tendency towards deviation of the borehole. Means are provided for transmitting the value of the signal from the measuring bridge to the surface.</p> |
