PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reducing tip end upward warping of a hot rolled steel plate on a finishing rolling mill side by reforming the tip end upward warping of the hot rolled steel plate in a finishing rolling mill in a case of performing hot rolling.SOLUTION: In a case of hot finishing rolling a steel plate that is a rolling target material using a finishing rolling mill including a plurality of horizontal rolling mills each including, on an inlet side, a guide table assisting a tip end of the steel plate in entering a roll bite and enabling the steel plate to ride on the guide table, horizontal rolling is performed on the steel plate up to a product thickness preferentially using at least one or more horizontal rolling mills in a front stage, the remaining horizontal rolling mills in a rear stage are used as a pass-through stands that do not perform hot rolling, and hot finishing rolling is performed on the steel plate while a roll gap is set larger than the product thickness by 1 to 10 mm and a roll circumferential speed is set higher than a roll circumferential speed of the horizontal rolling mill in a last stage out of the horizontal rolling mills in the front stage that horizontally roll the steel plate up to the product thickness. |
