DEAD TIME OPTIMIZATION OF RESONANT INVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrosurgical generator in which efficiency and a dynamic range of a radio frequency amplifier using a phase-shifting full-bridge resonant inverter are improved.SOLUTION: The electrosurgical generator includes: a resonant inverter 102 including an H bridge 104 and a tank 106; a sensor array 120 configured to measure at least one characteristic of the tank 106; and a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller 110 for outputting a first PWM timing signal and a second PWM timing signal to the H bridge. The PWM controller 110 controls dead time between the first PWM timing signal and the second PWM timing signal on the basis of at least one characteristic measured by the sensor array 120.
