PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dissimilar material bonding rivet, a dissimilar material bonding member, a dissimilar material bonding element manufacturing method, and a dissimilar material bonding element capable of reducing thickness of a top part while forming a flat portion on the top part, and improving bonding strength.SOLUTION: A dissimilar material bonding element 100 includes: a shaft part 2 that is inserted into a first bonding target material 200, a second bonding target material 300 different in type from the first bonding target material 200 being welded to a tip end of the shaft part; and a plate-like top part 3 provided on the other end opposite to the tip end of the shaft part 2. The top part 3 includes: a first chamfered portion 30 located on an outer edge of a surface in contact with the first bonding target material 200; an annular groove 31 located around the shaft part 2 on the surface in contact with the first bonding target material 200; and a flat portion 32 located between the first chamfered portion 30 and the annular groove 31 on the surface in contact with the first bonding target material 200. The dissimilar material bonding element 100 is formed out of a material of the same type as that of the second bonding target material 300. |
