1. A system for activating an alarm when a blood oxygen content in a monitored person drops below a predetermined level, comprising:
an oximeter that measures a blood oxygen level in a monitored person to provide a measured blood oxygen level; an analyzer that determines when said measured blood oxygen level falls below a predetermined blood oxygen level; and a notification component activated by said analyzer to provide a notification when said measured blood oxygen level falls below said predetermined blood oxygen level.
