A digital image of the object is captured and the object is recognized from plurality of objects in a database. An information address corresponding to the object is then used to access information and initiate communication pertinent to the object.

1. A product information system comprising:
a content server configured to store information pertinent to known products; a mobile device connection configured to couple with a mobile device; and a recognition platform coupled with the content server and mobile device connection, and configured to:
obtain a digital representation related to a product from the mobile device over the mobile device connection;recognize the product as a target object from the digital representation;identify product information associated with the target object; andcause the mobile device, via an address related to target object, to exchange the product information with the content server.
