In a control method and control unit to monitor a data acquisition of magnetic resonance image data of an imaging area located in a measurement volume of a magnetic resonance apparatus, an RF excitation pulse is radiated by an RF transmission/reception device of the magnetic resonance apparatus, raw data are acquired after a time after the radiated excitation pulse, by means of the RF transmission/reception device, and store the raw data, the raw data are transmitted to a monitoring unit and (a) through (c) are repeated while switching different gradients for spatial coding by readout of k-space corresponding to the imaging area along trajectories that are predetermined by the switched gradients, up to a termination criterion that is predetermined by the monitoring unit. |

1. A control method to monitor data acquisition of magnetic resonance data of an imaging area situated in a measurement volume of a magnetic resonance apparatus, comprising:
(a) in said magnetic resonance apparatus, radiating a radio-frequency (RF) excitation pulse that excites nuclear spins in said measurement volume; (b) with an RF reception device of said magnetic resonance apparatus, acquiring raw data, representing magnetic resonance signals produced by the excited nuclear spins, at a time after radiating said excitation pulse, and entering said raw data into an electronic memory organized as k-space corresponding to said imaging area; (c) transmitting the raw data to a monitoring unit; and (d) repeating (a) through (c) while activating different magnetic field gradients in said magnetic resonance apparatus to spatially code entry of said raw data into k-space along respective trajectories that are predetermined by the activated gradients, until said monitoring unit detects a predetermined termination criterion. |
