PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation/linear motion conversion device capable of reducing weight of a rack bar.SOLUTION: A rotation/linear motion conversion device 10 includes a pinion shaft 20 that is formed with a pinion gear 22, a rack bar 30 that is formed with a rack gear 32 for being engaged with the pinion gear 22 and a support surface 31 along a longitudinal direction, and a support part 40 for movably supporting the rack bar 30 along the support surface 31. The support part 40 inhibits the rack bar 30 from moving in a direction X perpendicular to a surface 30a on which the rack gear 32 is formed.
