<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for magnifying an image for suppressing deterioration of a screen shape even if magnification processing is performed on the image after screen processing.SOLUTION: An image magnification device 10 includes: a shift amount determination section 21 for determining shift amounts of individual pixels when an original image is magnified to a first direction by insertion of the pixels; a first screen processing section 22 for performing screen processing on the individual pixels of the original image by applying a dither threshold of a position obtained by adding the shift amount to the position of the pixel; a second screen processing section 23 for performing the screen processing on the individual pixels of the original image by appling a dither threshold of a position obtained by adding a value obtained by adding or subtracting one to or from the shift amount to the position of the pixel; and a magnification processing section 24 for shifting the individual pixels of a first screen image obtained in the first screen processing section 22 in accordance with the shift amount and determining a gradation value of the pixel inserted into a position where insertion of the pixel is required with the shift by adopting a processing result of the second screen processing section 23.</p> |
