<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonwoven fabric backing for carpet that greatly saves trouble and time needed to provide the nonwoven fabric backing with a shift preventing function and thereby lowers costs of the nonwoven fabric backing, the nonwoven fabric backing for carpet, and a carpet with the nonwoven fabric backing.SOLUTION: A fiber web 24 of thick fiber 15 made of heat-adhesive fiber is formed on a fiber web 22 of thin fiber 14, and the fiber webs 22, 24 have their constituent fiber entangled with each other through a needle punching treatment using a needle having a barb depth corresponding to the fiber diameter of the thin fiber 14 from the fiber web side of the thin fiber 14. Part of the thick fiber 15 is protruded and then heat-treated to be fused, and the thermofusion material hardens the root of the protruding thick fiber 15.</p> |
