Embodiments of the present invention provide an autonomous storage method and system. The method comprises: receiving a first logic address assignment request sent by a user; where the assignment request carries a first logic address type parameter; performing a search according to the first logic address type parameter, so as to acquire a first logic address meeting the first logic address type parameter; and sending the first logic address to the user. The method provided in the embodiment of the present invention solves a technical problem that a corresponding storage resource cannot be provided to a user according to a storage need of the user in the prior art.
