<p> In a drive motor of an electric automobile, the past conception has been that the motor is small in diameter, or even if a drive motor large in diameter is created and used in driving, the output is drawn out by a drive shaft connected to a rotating shaft of the motor. However, these features are expensive, and it is therefore a purpose of the present invention to reduce these features. An inexpensive, continuously variable transmission having a simple structure can be configured when a plurality of large-caliber thin rotary electric machines rotating in mutually opposite directions are connected by a center shaft and used as a drive motor (10) of an electric automobile, a friction wheel (22) through which a drive shaft (23) is passed is inserted into a space formed between a friction plate as a side plate of a rotor of an upper drive motor and a friction plate as a side plate of a rotor of a lower drive motor, and a device is created which can be gear-shifted by the point of contact of the friction wheel (22).</p> |
