Bonus features can be added to existing games and player selection of progressive play can be provided. The method and system can further provide switching among possible links without dynamic reconfiguration.

at least one electronic game machine that displays a base game and a bonus game; a display manager; a stream decoder; a stream server in communication with the stream decoder; and at least one jackpot controller in communication with the stream server; wherein the gaming system decouples the bonus game from the base game.
