The present invention relates to a method for balancing a charging voltage of each rack in a battery pack including racks connected in series or in parallel, each of the racks including a plurality of unit modules connected in series. Provided is a rack voltage balancing method comprising: (a) a voltage measurement step of measuring voltages of the racks; (b) an arrangement step of arranging the racks in an ascending order according to the voltages of the racks; (c) a comparison step of comparing whether a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the voltages is larger than a preset voltage; (d) a charge/discharge count step of comparing the voltage of each of the racks with a reference voltage to add a charge or discharge count; and (e) a charge/discharge step of charging or discharging each of the racks according to the charge/discharge count, wherein the charge is performed by the maximum value without steps (d) and (e) when the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the voltages is smaller than the preset voltage in step (c), and steps (d) and (e) are performed when the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the voltages is larger than the preset voltage.
