CURRENT CONTROLLING MODE DC-DC CONVERTER

The present invention relates to a current control mode DC-DC converter which enables a DC-DC converter to operate in a PWM mode or a PFM mode by adjusting the turn-on time of a gate according to the power consumption of a load. To this end, the current control mode DC-DC converter of the present invention comprises: a first comparator which receives a VERR signal and a VISEN signal and outputs a first output signal (COUT1); a second comparator which receives a reference value for mode conversion and the VISEN signal and outputs a second output signal (COUT2); a first logic device which outputs a reset signal for turning off a gate at the time when both the first output signal (COUT1) and the second output signal (COUT2) are applied; a second logic device which receives the first output signal inverted by an inverter and a clock signal, and outputs a set signal; and an SR-latch which receives the reset signal or the set signal and generates a waveform whose gate on time interval is adjusted. The current control mode DC-DC converter according to the present invention as described above can perform the operation conversion of the PWM mode or the PFM mode according to the power consumption of the load without configuring a separate control signal or a load sensing circuit.
