Provided are: a photocurable composition which comprises one type or more of an ultraviolet absorbing agent represented by general formula (1); and a hard coat agent composed of the photocurable composition. (1) (In the formula, R 1 to R 3 are the same or different and represent a C1 to 20 branched or linear alkyl group substituted with a (meth)acryloyloxy group. This alkyl group may be substituted with a hydroxy group, a C1 to 8 alkoxy group, or a C1 to 8 acyloxy group. In addition, it may be interrupted by one or more of an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a carbonyl group, an ester group, an amide group and an imide group.
