<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring device and a periphery monitoring method that enable periphery monitoring by expressing a temporal change in the position of an object, and a driving support device that enables driving support for a vehicle such as production of an avoidance route to avoid an object. <P>SOLUTION: If an obstacle around a vehicle detected by a LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) sensor 2 enters a blind spot area, a driving support ECU 1 attenuates the obstacle reliability as time passes.
