<p>The stack of screens consists of a number of cheese screens, pref. 20, placed one on top of the other, so that their feet are directed upwards. The screens are made from a metallic wire frame with a stretched bearing surface on top, on which honeycomb mould may be placed. The bearing surface is stainless steel cloth or synthetic filaments interlaced like a fabric. The screens in the stack fit at the top and bottom into reinforced covering screens, both of which have a similar structure and can operate in all positions; the stack thus forms a stable body which can be transported on a sliding surface and which can also be gripped, lifted and turned over.</p> |
