During each individual shot, this arrests and then releases the hammer (6), via a lever (3) of the trigger mechanism (10). The electromagnet operates more rapidly than the trigger mechanism. It includes a plunger (1), coil (9) and spring (8). The hammer is cocked via the lever (7) of the gun mechanism, on each firing cycle. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the corresponding method of firing #CMT#USE : #/CMT# A mechanism for variable-rate firing of a gun with revolving action. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Variable firing rate is enabled, when using a mechanical firing mechanism. Each shot is fired at the desired instant, independently of the mechanical cycle of the weapon.
