PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric hybrid node, effectively utilizing advantages of both optical processing and electric processing, which is capable of accommodating a sub λ path by remote control even in the case where the sub λ path is required between arbitrary spots.SOLUTION: A photoelectric hybrid node has: a receiving-side path selection section for receiving wavelength multiplexed signals from a plurality of paths; a receiving-side colorless function section for demultiplexing the wavelength multiplexed signals received from the receiving-side path selection section into optical signals of wavelengths arbitrarily settable for each of the plurality of paths; an electric switch processing section for converting the demultiplexed optical signals into electric signals, branching and/or inserting the electric signals to a relevant node device, and converting the processed electric signals into optical signals of arbitrary wavelengths; a transmitting-side colorless function section for multiplexing the optical signals received from the electric switch processing section; and a transmitting-side path selection section for transmitting the optical signals received from the receiving-side path selection section and the transmitting-side colorless function section to the plurality of paths as wavelength multiplexed signals. |
