The present document relates to a method for scheduling data through an optical burst switching (OBS) network (1) comprising a plurality of network nodes (NN1-NN4), the method comprising the following steps:
- receiving a transmission request for transmitting data from a source network node to a destination network node;
- determining an intermediate network node different from the source network node and the destination network node;
- scheduling the transmission of data from the source network node to the intermediate network node;
- scheduling the transmission of the data from the intermediate network node to the destination network node. |
