Production of a shower tray structure (1) comprises foaming the shower tray (2) up to the surface (E) of the edge angle (3) and connecting the foamed tray with a special support lower part (7) having a sealing band (12) protruding on the edge side. An independent claim is also included for a shower tray structure produced by the above method. Preferred Features: A foam material having a higher density is provided in the edge region of the foamed part. The sealing band is integrated in a sealing composition which is applied to the support lower part.
