An extendable conveyor for conveying articles has:
a base unit (2) including a fixed base unit section (2a) for being positioned onto ground and a mechanically extendable base unit section (2b), which is adjustably positionable incrementally between a fully nested position within the fixed base unit section (2a) and a fully extended position telescoped forwardly from the fixed base unit section (2a);
at least one mechanically extendable conveyor section (3a-c) coupled to the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b), wherein the at least one mechanically extendable conveyor section (3a-c) is adjustably positionable incrementally between a fully nested position within the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b) and a fully extended position telescoped forwardly from the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b); and
a conveying surface (4) for conveying articles extending at least partially on an upper side of the fixed base unit section (2a), the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b) and the at least one mechanically extendable conveyor section (3a-c), wherein the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b) and the at least one mechanically extendable conveyor section (3a-c) are configured such that extension of the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b) from the fixed base unit section (2a) is independent of extension of the at least on mechanically extendable conveyor section (3a-c) from the mechanically extendable base unit section (2b). |
