摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# Bis-triazinyl pyridine derivative (I) is new. #CMT# : #/CMT# Bis-triazinyl pyridine derivative of formula (I) is new. R 1-R 4H or alkyl; and m, n : 1 or 2. An independent claim is also included for preparing (I). #CMT#[Image]#/CMT# #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful as extracting agents for separating actinides (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) exhibits: enhanced solubility; faster extraction kinetics; and sufficient stability against nitric acid. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preparation (Claimed): The preparation of (I), comprises mixing pyridine-2,6-bis-amidrazone with alcohols or ethers and camphorquinone. Preferred Method: The method makes use of ethanol. The method comprises: heating the mixture for 2-5 hours at 60-80[deg] C; stirring at room temperature, preferably 15-25[deg] C for 5-14 hours; and removing the solvent under reduced pressure, preferably 40-300 mbar. Preferred Components: The pyridine-2,6-bis-amidrazone is used in an amount of 450 mg-50 g, preferably 5 g. The camphorquinone is used in an amount of 1-100 g, preferably 11 g. #CMT#DEFINITIONS : #/CMT# Preferred Definitions: R 1-R 4H, methyl or ethyl. #CMT#SPECIFIC COMPOUNDS : #/CMT# 1 Compound (I) is specifically claimed i.e. 2,6-bis-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,9,9-trimethyl-5,8-methano-1,2,4-benzotriazin-3-yl)pyridine (Ia). #CMT#[Image]#/CMT# #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Suspension of pyridine-2,6-bis-amidrazone (0.45 g) in absolute ethanol (10 ml) was mixed with (+- )-camphorquinone (1 g) and heated for 3 hours under reflux. Then the reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature and worked up to obtain 2,6-bis-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,9,9-trimethyl-5,8-methano-1,2,4-benzotriazin-3-yl)pyridine.</p>
