<p>The bollard apparatus, for use as a fixed vehicle barrier, comprises a bollard member 3 with a base end and a foundation assembly 2 adapted for fixed ground engagement and which comprises a housing part 63,71 for retaining the base end of the bollard member together with cementing material 62 for cementing the bollard member to the foundation assembly within the housing part. The foundation includes an aperture dimensioned to allow parts of the bollard to extend therethrough but to prevent the base end of the bollard, which is wider than the aperture, from passing through. The inclination of the bollard member relative to the foundation assembly is adjustable while the cementing material is not set fixed upon the cementing material setting to set the inclination of the bollard member relative to the foundation assembly. Also claimed is a method of erecting a bollard and a fixed vehicle barrier including one of more bollards.</p> |
