<p>Disclosed are a mobile device and a method for restricting the use of the mobile device. The mobile device comprises a step for selecting a shortcut icon corresponding to an operating application in a concentration mode which restricts the use of the mobile device by using a screen of the mobile device; a step for setting limit time in the concentration mode; a step for deactivating the selected shortcut icon in the concentration mode; and a step for blocking an alarm message offered in the application corresponding to the selected shortcut icon in the concentration mode. The present invention is provided to enable a user to immediately release a concentration improving mode by using a setting menu of the concentration improving mode.</p>
