The present invention relates to a mosquito repellent composition comprising a repellent which includes ingredients stimulating the mosquito sense of smell; an encapsulation which inhibits the volatility of the repellent by collecting the repellent; and a refreshing agent for giving a cooling effect to the mosquito repellent composition. Accordingly, the present invention replaces a synthetic mosquito repellent (DEET) with a natural mosquito repellent and is able to maximize mosquito repellent persistency by applying encapsulation techniques to the repellent. Additionally, the present invention is able to differentiate the mosquito repellent composition from an existing mosquito repellent composition by providing refreshment in use by giving a specific function (cooling effect) to the mosquito repellent composition.
