PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus at low cost which can prevent a waste liquid unit from being left to be pulled out while detachably providing the waste liquid unit.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes the waste liquid unit 21 and a back unit 16 on the back side of the printer so that each units are detachable, the waste liquid unit storing ink left from a recording head, the back unit opening and closing an opening for exposing a sheet conveyance path. When the waste liquid unit 21 is not mounted on the printer, a back-unit engagement piece 27c advances to a detachable path of the back unit 16 and thereby a back-unit engagement device 26 prevents the back unit 16 from transferring to a close state (mounting state). |
