<p>The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a seal ring from being drawn by negative pressure produced by a water flow during switching to open or shut a changeover valve of a flow channel. The water spray device has a flow channel (10) connecting a water intake port to a spray port, and is furnished with a changeover valve which comprises an upstream member forming a portion of the flow channel, as well as having a changeover port formed on the peripheral surface, and seal member positioned in proximity to the changeover port, and a downstream member (28) having a valve seat portion (30) capable of circumscribing the seal member and a water passage portion (31) larger in diameter than this valve seat portion (30) and forming a section of the flow channel (10), and connected to the downstream side of the upstream member, and which through reciprocating movement of the downstream member (28) in the direction of extension of the flow channel with respect to the upstream member, switches between a water non-passage state in which the seal member is abutted against the valve seat portion (30) so that the changeover port does not communicate with the water passage portion (31), and a water passage state in which the changeover port communicates with the water passage portion (31). Also formed is a bypass portion (29) that branches off from the water passage portion (31), and converges with the water passage portion (31) a predetermined distance to the downstream side from the location of the branch.</p> |
