PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license information management system and license information management method capable of attaining efficient utilization without increasing a load on the management of license information by improving flexibility in authenticating the license information.SOLUTION: A license information management system manages the performance of a delivery application 111 in an on-vehicle unit 2B by authenticating a license with respect to the delivery application 111, based on license information 120 to be delivered from a management center 1C managing the license information 120 corresponding to the delivery application 111. The management center 1C divides the license information 120 of the delivery application 111 to be a target so as to generate multiple tallies, and also delivers the generated multiple tallies to the on-vehicle unit 2B. The on-vehicle unit 2B authenticates the license of the delivery application 111 to be a target, based on one or multiple tallies selected from the multiple tallies to be delivered. |
