<p>Provided is a method that can stably and efficiently manufacture IgG antibodies for a T-cell-independent antigen. In said method, DNA that codes for an IgG antibody for the T-cell-independent antigen is inserted into a silkworm, creating a genetically modified silkworm, and the IgG antibodies for the T-cell-independent antigen that are produced by the genetically modified silkworm are collected. The aforementioned DNA contains a DNA sequence consisting of the following DNA sequences joined together: a DNA sequence that codes for a heavy-chain variable region that includes a heavy-chain complementarity determining region of an IgM antibody for the T-cell-independent antigen; and a DNA sequence that codes for a heavy-chain constant region of the IgG antibody. The abovementioned DNA inserted into the silkworm also contains a DNA sequence consisting of the following DNA sequences joined together: a DNA sequence that codes for a light-chain variable region that includes a light-chain complementarity determining region of the IgM antibody for the T-cell-independent antigen; and a DNA sequence that codes for a given light-chain constant region.</p> |
