<p>The re-circulating belts or papers used as carriers through the heat treatment zones during the mfre. of undulating (and waterproofed) papers are cooled by sprays, mists, wet rolls or air jets on the return loop of the cycle to prevent heat build-up at high throughput rates which might otherwise affect the thermoplastic materials in the product or promote adhesion between the product and the carrier papers. The carrier belts requiring cooling may be siliconised papers or glass cloths or textiles coated with silicone or fluorocarbon polymers.</p> |
