A swirl-type urea mixing apparatus according to the present invention includes a housing that has an inner flow path for the passage of discharge gas discharged from an engine, the housing being provided with a discharge gas inlet on a tip side and an SDPF mounting portion on a rear end side; a urea injection nozzle that injects a urea aqueous solution between the discharge gas inlet and the SDPF mounting portion in the inner flow path of the housing; and a urea swirl unit that is mounted between the site of the urea injection nozzle and the SDPF mounting portion in the inner flow path of the housing and generates a spiral vortex in a fluid in which the discharge gas and urea aqueous solution particles are mixed with each other. When the swirl-type urea mixing apparatus according to the present invention is used, the urea aqueous solution is injected at the site where the flow direction of the discharge gas discharged from the vehicle engine changes, and thus the urea aqueous solution can be effectively mixed with the discharge gas. Also, the spiral vortex is generated at the site where the discharge gas is mixed with the urea aqueous solution injected from the urea injection nozzle, and thus the urea aqueous solution particles can be uniformly mixed with the discharge gas.
