<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a simple method for accurately evaluating influencing factors such as change in MHF point, cooling water temperature, and a steel plate component, and to achieve high speed casting without causing crack defect of a slab. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for quantifying and evaluating the secondary cooling strength, quantification is performed by using a heat-transfer coefficient which is calculated from change in temperature of a thermocouple set to a steel plate sample in cooling the steel plate sample by spray, when secondary cooling strength in continuous casting is quantified and evaluated, wherein the steel plate sample with 20-100 cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>in sectional area and 0.5-1.5 cm in thickness is preheated a burner to have a predetermined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
