<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect without fail a welding anomaly that occurs in a welding arc, molten pool, etc., during a welding work using a technique of image processing. <P>SOLUTION: This method for detecting welding anomaly includes the step of imaging the situation of a molten pool present on a work W during welding with two images in a stereoscopic view, calculating a three-dimensional shape of the molten pool the pattern of the surface of the molten pool imaged in the two images, and detecting an anomaly of the welding part on the basis of the calculated three-dimensional shape of the molten pool.
