Provided is an inverter unit that is used in an electric vehicle having a left motor for causing a drive wheel on the left side to rotate and a right motor for causing a drive wheel on the right side to rotate, the inverter unit being used as either a left inverter unit for driving the left motor or a right inverter unit for driving the right motor. The inverter unit is provided with an identification information obtaining unit for obtaining, from the electric vehicle or from an external source, left/right identification information making it possible to identify whether the inverter unit is to be used as the left inverter unit or the right inverter unit. |
