<p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a transmitting body in a closed-loop form to transmit power when threaded between direction changing means (e.g., pulleys), comprising a first sector smoothly turning along the path in contact with the direction changing means and a second sector having a rigid structure along an arc path between the direction changing means and to provide a transmission using such a transmitting body. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A transmission comprises direction changing means (P,...) and a closed-loop transmitting body (B) threaded between the direction changing means (P,...) and running along turning paths (R1) and paths (R2) between the direction changing means. The transmission is characterized in that the turning paths (R1) are formed into first arcs (A1) whose centers coincide with the centers of the direction changing means (P,...), the paths (R2) between the direction changing means are formed into second arcs (A2) between the direction changing means (P, P), and thus all the paths along which the transmitting body (B) runs are formed into arcs.</p> |
