A multi-axle assembly (100) for a wheeled vehicle (1) has a longitudinal axis (A) aligned with the intended direction of travel (D) of the vehicle. The assembly comprises a first axle (10) having a first wheel (12) rotatably connected thereto and configured to pivot relative to the vehicle about a first pivot (27); a second axle (20), spaced along the longitudinal axis (A) relative to the first axle, and having a second wheel (22) rotatably connected thereto and configured to pivot relative to the vehicle about a second pivot (37); a flexible force transmission element (30) engaging respective first and second locations (14,24) on the first and second axles (10,20); and an actuator (40) configured to be anchored at a third location (42) relative to the vehicle and to move the flexible force transmission element (30) so as to vary the separation between the third location (42) and at least one of said first and second locations (14,24), thereby pivoting at least one of said first and second axles (10,20) relative to the vehicle. |
