<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist device for sliding door, including a closing support unit and an opening support unit, that is adaptive to a door panel of small size by using basic components in common and thereby shortening the overall length of the whole device, and reducible in manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A closing support unit 4A and an opening support unit 4B are arranged in a case 23 in right-left opposite directions. A closing-side changeover tool 20A and an opening-side changeover tool 20B are arranged in a guide rail 2 in right-left opposite directions. Both the support units 4A, 4B include a closing structure and an opening structure operative to move a door panel 1 to a closing end and an opening end with a power accumulative spring 21, a changeover structure which switches the power accumulative spring 21 between a power accumulative state and an output state, and a damper 22 which damps closing and opening operations of the door panel 1. Both the support units 4A, 4B share the power accumulative spring 21 and damper 22 arranged between both the support units 4A, 4B, and consequently the assist device is shortened in overall length to reduce the manufacturing cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
