The mould (1), which is of a folding type, is made from two halves (2a, 2b) connected by a pivot (3) and actuated by levers (6) connected to a cam mechanism with a follower roller (10) and a fixed cam (12) with one or two surfaces. The cam mechanism is designed to produce an approximately linear displacement of an articulated joint (7) connecting the levers towards or away from the mould to close or open the two halves. The articulated joint (7) has a compensator connected to it to hold the follower roller (10) in constant contact with the cam surface(s). The compensator contains at least one compression or traction spring (16) which has its fixed end against a tension regulator (23).
