<p>PURPOSE: An insulation resistance monitoring apparatus and method are provided to detect resistance value for a battery pack and to measure a leakage current of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: An insulation resistance monitoring apparatus comprises a slave part (110) and a master part (120). The slave part monitors a resistance value of internal insulation resistance for each of multiple battery cells. The master part monitors a resistance value of external insulation resistance of a battery pack based on the resistance values of the internal insulation resistance. The external insulation resistance comprises insulation resistance for an anode of the battery pack and insulation resistance for a cathode of the battery pack.</p> |
