<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall joint covering device capable of, in a normal state, preventing a suspicious person from invading into the joint, and, in the case of earthquake, avoiding the collision between the other building and the other end of a holder. <P>SOLUTION: A wall joint covering device 1 comprises a holder 2 whose one end is rotatably pivotally connected to a side wall surface 5 of one building A of right and left buildings A and B which are adjacent via joint s to each other and whose other end is energized inward of the joint by energization means and thereby being elastically contacted to a front wall surface 12 of the other building B and a cover plate 13 attached to the holder 2 so as to cover the joint s. In the wall joint covering device 1, an expandable restriction member 17 composed of a thin spring steel plate bent in a bellows shape so as to continuously extend in the width direction of the joint s is expandably disposed on the back surface side of the holder 2 between the both buildings A and B so that the expandable restriction member 17 shields the joint s on the back surface side of the holder 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
