<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser radar apparatus having high distance measuring accuracy and a wide measurable distance interval without requiring a distance measuring device other than the laser radar apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The laser radar apparatus includes: a light transmitting/receiving part 10 for oscillating a laser beam to an object, receiving reflected light from the object and converting the received reflected light into a reception signal; a distance and intensity calculation part 20 for calculating a distance signal indicating a distance up to an irradiation point of the laser beam by measuring time required from the oscillation of the laser beam from the light transmitting/receiving part 10 up to the reception of the reflected light on the basis of a previously set measurable time interval and calculating an intensity signal indicating the reflected light intensity of the laser beam from the irradiation point of the laser beam; and a signal processing part 30 for setting a measurable time interval narrower than the previously set measurable time interval on the basis of the distance signal and the intensity signal calculated by the distance and intensity calculation part 20.
