摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation control method for preventing misfire to be caused by excessive EGR gas during speed reduction. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes: a variable valve timing device varying at least one opening/closing timing of an intake valve and an exhaust valve; a supercharger having a turbine driven by exhaust energy and a compressor compressing intake air by being driven by the turbine; and an exhaust gas recirculation device provided upstream of the compressor to recirculate part of the exhaust gas exhausted from the turbine. The exhaust gas recirculation control method selectively combines the recirculation of part of the exhausted gas using the exhaust gas recirculation device and the recirculation of the exhaust gas in cylinders using the variable valve timing device. During speed reduction, the variable valve timing device is controlled so as to reduce the exhaust gas remaining in the cylinders. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
