<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify the detection area of a human body sensor to be displayed on an image, in an image monitoring device provided with the human body sensor having a part of a monitored space monitored by an image as a detection space. <P>SOLUTION: A walking test is performed by allowing a worker to move within the monitored space, thereby obtaining measurement data obtained by associating the position of a human image within the image and the signal level of a detection signal of a sensor part at a measurement timing with each other. On the basis of a characteristic 150 given by the measurement data, measurement data corresponding to a peak value Pmax is selected as a representative point, and the human image position Xp is corrected according to the moving speed of the worker, thereby obtaining a corrected peak position Xpc.
