<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hexahedral mesh generation method capable of preliminarily setting the number of nodal points or elements and touching all faces of surface contour of a three-dimensional contour body only with a few elements. <P>SOLUTION: A hexahedral mesh generation method includes steps that a computer: inputs a three-dimensional contour body to be simulated; inserts a simple geometry model consisting of hexahedral elements into a contour of the three-dimensional contour body; uniformly expands the simple geometry model under predetermined loading conditions; uses expansion force under the predetermined loading conditions to expand the simple geometry model while conducting a contact analysis when the simple geometry model touches a surface contour of the three-dimensional contour body; replaces the hexahedral elements with other hexahedral elements consisting of plurally-divisible sides when a proportion of each side area of the hexahedral elements to an area within a range of surface contour, which faces each side, of the three-dimensional contour body is equal to or less than a predetermined proportion; and expands the simple geometry model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
