A wind power generation system according to the invention includes: blades (1) configured to receive wind to rotate; a nacelle (2) supporting a load from the blades (1); a tower (3) supporting the nacelle (2); a hub (4) supporting the blades (1) and configured to be rotated with the blades (1); a rotary main shaft (5) configured to be rotated with the rotation of the hub (4); a gearbox (6) connected to the rotary main shaft (5) and configured to increase a speed of the rotation; and a generator configured to be driven at the rotation speed increased by the gearbox (6). The rotary main shaft (5) is connected directly to the hub (4).
