A draining conduit for use in cleaning a beverage dispensing system such as a beer line comprises an inlet 19 provided at one end of the conduit 21 for connecting to an outlet such as a tap 8 of the beverage dispensing system, an outlet 20 provided at an opposite end of the conduit 21 and a valve 22 positioned between the inlet 19 and the outlet 20 and configured to open at a preset pressure to provide fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. The valve 22 is preferably a one-way pressure actuated valve. The conduit 21 is preferably utilised in a cleaning system that includes a plurality of dispensing conduits arranged over different floors of a building. A beverage dispensing tap 8 that comprises a valve arranged to open at a preset pressure and a beverage conduit cleaning system comprising a portable alarm device are also disclosed. |
