<p>A call data analysis method comprising: receiving a plurality of diagnostic data messages from one or more media gateways, said diagnostic data messages including a plurality of parameters including at least timestamp information and identifier information; correlating said diagnostic data messages into one or more trails each trail including a plurality of diagnostic data messages having matching timestamp information and identifier information; determining a pairing confidence value for each of one or more pairs of said trails by comparing the identifier information of one trail of each pair with the identifier information of the other trail of said pair; receiving a request for diagnostic information relating to call, the request including a search parameter; identifying a primary trail having one or more diagnostic data messages with parameters having values matching the search parameter; and identifying one or more secondary trails having pairing confidence value with said primary trail in excess of a target level, and outputting said primary trail and said one or more secondary trails. It provides a method for collecting diagnostic messages and collating them into correlated groups to be matched to specific calls, to identify and diagnose issues with those calls. It may correlate trails even when the signalling trails are on a completely different gateway to the media.</p> |
